Hill & Markes Inc., a family owned business for over 100 years, is recognized and respected for the growth and professional approach within the wholesale distribution industry. Hill & Markes distributes janitorial, industrial packaging, food service, ice cream products, farm and office products. The company is owned and operated by Neal Packer, C.E.O., Andrea Finkle Packer, Vice President of Marketing, Jeffrey Finkle, President, and third generation, Jason Packer, Business Development Specialist.

Hill & Markes strives to provide customers with product information, solutions and excellent service.

Amos Hill and Charlie Markes created Hill & Markes in 1906 as a candy, ice cream and ice cream cone distributor, focused on servicing customers from Amsterdam to Galway. Amos Hill and Charlie Markes made deliveries by horse and buggy, and even by horse and sleigh in the winter months.

In 1947, Harry and Harriet Finkle purchased the company and expanded the product line to include school supplies, paper products, rental dishes and cutlery. In the 70′s, Neal Packer, now C.E.O, Jeffrey Finkle, President, and Andrea Finkle Packer, Vice President of Marketing, all joined the company.

On August 5, 2004, Hill & Markes hosted a ribbon cutting ceremony to celebrate its latest warehouse expansion. The keynote speaker, former First Lady, United States Senator, and Secretary of State, Hillary Rodham Clinton offered her presence. In 2006, the company celebrated its Centennial Year. In 2011, the company moved to a LEED Certified building of 130,000 square feet.
