HILL & MARKES RECEIVES ENVIRONMENTAL DISTRIBUTOR ACHIEVEMENT AWARD FROM CASCADES TISSUE GROUP

In 2011, Hill & Markes saved an equivalent of more than 1,266 cars’ annual emissions
WATERFORD, N.Y. (DATE, 2012) –Cascades Tissue Group today announces that New York based Hill & Markes received an achievement award in honor of its strong partnership and dedication to furthering Cascades’ environmental preferable products. Based on 2011 sales of Cascades 100 percent recycled, away-from-home tissue offerings, the distributor conserved 24,331 trees (the equivalent of 61 American football fields) and 1,266 cars’ emissions versus comparable virgin fiber products.

Offering a wide range of janitorial, industrial packaging, food service, farm, office, and ice cream products to various market segments throughout the country, Hill & Markes started distributing Cascades Tissue Group away-from-home products to commercial purchasers in 2004.
